Mac Hacker Screensaver

There was a hack for earlier versions of the Mac operating system that let you change how long a particular picture is displayed in the Mac photos screensaver. Say have it display for 30 seconds or 60 seconds, versus the about 10 seconds that they show by default. That older hack doesn't work with the newer versions of the operating system.

The screensaver running as desktop. Probably the most useful part of this hack is turning it off and returning your Desktop to its unchanging self. To do so, type Control-C in the same Terminal window from which you started the screensaver running. While any of the screensavers will do, perhaps the grooviest is Flurry, shown in Figure 4-34. Does anyone know if Apple cares about this, it seems like an obvious feature, as now the pictures change very rapidly and you can't got back to a previous picture like you can on Windows (at least the last time I used Windows)
